This is my first time to participate in Menu Plan Monday. I've not always been a menu planner, but am realizing that it really does make life a little simpler. I list a meal for each day, but if something comes up and I need or want to change it, I do. No more standing in front of the fridge at 5pm wondering what to eat for supper. Cheaper grocery bill's a win-win situation!

Monday: Crescent Roll Taco Pie
Tuesday: Tuna and Noodles (I'll post a recipe for this sometime for 5 ingredient Friday).
Wednesday: Aztec Quiche (I grabbed this one from someone's blog, but I can't remember who. Sorry!!) :( It's a new recipe for us, I'm anxious to try it out!
Thursday: Spaghetti
Friday: Chicken Breasts and pasta
Saturday: Leftovers
Sunday: Stroganoff (of the Hamburger Helper variety. We don't do a lot of HH, but we LOVE this one!!)

Head on over to orgjunkie's place for more great menu ideas!

Hello! Thanks for participating. The Crescent Roll Taco pie sounds interesting. Is the recipe on the net at all? I love seeing what everyone else is having for dinner. Thanks for coming by my site. Laura

All of these sound really good! I'd love to see any all recipes for these (especially the Taco Pie, the Tuna/noodles and the Aztec Quiche). I love recipes, especially when they are "tried and true" :)

We're having spaghetti on Thursday also, great minds think alike, LOL :)

Have a wonderful day!

Someday you should try to make beef stroganoff from scratch. It's ridiculously easy. Next to homemade mac & cheese, it's my son's favorite. And your crescent roll taco pie sounds too good!

Ooohhh sounds yummy :) I've made a crescent roll taco ring before, is it the same thing or different?

Here's my beef stroganoff recipe. You can wing how much beef is in it depending on how many people are eating it. In my house, it takes 2 steaks, LOL--6 adults and one quasi-adult.

You need:
Beef--use a better cut. If you can find sirloin on sale, it's great, but I like top round, too
Mushrooms (buy them sliced if you want this to be fast. One container is plenty. If it's too much, use the rest for spinach salad)
1 can beef broth
1/2 stick (2 ounces) of butter
1/4 cup of flour
Chopped onion or onion powder
salt & pepper
Sour cream

Cut up the beef in bite-sized pieces and brown it off. Set meat aside. Chop the onions and cook until soft, if you're using real onions.
In the same pan, melt the butter, then add the flour. Stir (preferably with a whisk) for about 2 minutes. Then add the whole can of soup. Keep stirring until it is thick. (This is how Alton Brown of "Good Eats" makes gravy.) If you didn't use chopped onions, add onion powder and salt and pepper to taste. Throw in the mushrooms. Stir it up and turn the heat on very low and let it simmer for a half hour. It can even go longer than that if you want. Obviously, you cook the noodles in the meantime. When you are ready to eat, take it off the heat and add just a dollop of sour cream. Stir until light and creamy and serve over the noodles.
If you make this, let me know how it came out!
